Structured Cabling Solutions
End-to-end campus, data centre and healthcare facilities structured cabling design and installation — compliant with TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards.
What Are Structured Cabling Solutions?
Structured cabling is a standardised method of organising and connecting the physical cables that support your IT infrastructure. It includes the planning, installation, and maintenance of cabling systems designed to meet the current and future demands of your business.
We provide end-to-end structured cabling solutions tailored to your unique requirements. From data cabling for IT networks to designing and implementing access control and CCTV systems, we deliver the infrastructure needed to keep your operations running smoothly.
The Physical Basis of Any Network
The quality and structure of the physical cabling infrastructure defines the ultimate performance of any application — regardless of how sophisticated the active networking layer is. Ad hoc cabling causes bottlenecks, signal integrity issues, an inability to fault-isolate, and rising maintenance costs in the long term.
Structured cabling designed and installed to accepted standards eliminates these risks and offers a physical layer that can stand decades of technology evolution without requiring a complete upgrade. FTTPL's structured cabling services are full-fledged — covering site survey and design through to installation, certification testing, and ongoing maintenance.
Our Structured Cabling Capabilities
Site Survey & Cable Plant Design
Our engineers conduct thorough site surveys before installation — assessing building infrastructure, pathways, equipment room locations, and device density. Designs account for future expansion, horizontal cabling distances, and consolidation point needs for both data centres and enterprise environments.
Copper Cabling — Cat6A & Cat8
Our standard base is Category 6A (10GBASE-T capable, 500 MHz), providing full headroom for 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 metres.
- Cat8 (2000 MHz, 40GBASE-T) for data centre top-of-rack applications
- Available where active optical or DAC solutions are not required
Fibre Optic Cabling — OS2 & OM4/OM5
For backbone infrastructure, inter-building runs, and high-speed connections beyond copper distance limits, we deploy OS2 single-mode and OM4/OM5 multimode fibre.
- LC, SC, and MPO/MTP connector systems
- Selected based on port density and transceiver compatibility
Data Centre Structured Cabling
Data centres demand a higher degree of organisation, airflow management, and scalability. We install colour-coded, labelled, and fully documented cable management systems per BICSI 002 and TIA-942 standards.
- Hot-aisle/cold-aisle segregation
- Overhead vs underfloor pathway planning
Testing, Certification & Documentation
All installations are tested at the Tier 2 channel and permanent link level. Full as-built records — cable schedules, panel schedules, and outlet numbering — are handed over at project completion.
- TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801 compliant
- Essential for future MACs and audits
Maintenance & MAC Services
Every live cabling environment is subject to moves, additions, and changes (MAC). We execute organised MACs without compromising the integrity or documentation of the installed cable plant — preventing the gradual degradation that characterises unmanaged cabling environments.
The Foundation for Every Technology Investment
For organisations investing in robotic medical equipment, IoT solutions, or data centre upgrades, structured cabling is the underlying layer — and it must be correctly installed before any other technology investment can perform as specified.
